Inside of Me

People think I’m just a ten year-old girl
in fourth grade,
but I’m really a detective
searching for the secrets in people.

People think I‘m nice, like a cute cat.
But inside I’m really as mean and angry like a tiger.

People think I’m a girl wearing pretty dresses.
But really I’m, a boy in disguise,
playing baseball and tag, like tomboy.

People think I’m quiet, like a mouse.
But really I’m as loud as a bulldozer digging.

People think I’m just smart,
but really I’m ingenious, like a scientist.

People think I’m just an artist.
Bur really I’m an inventor like Thomas Edison.

Some people think I’m just a ten-year old girl.
