I used to be as puny as a roly-poly bug
digging in the dirt
But now I’m as huge as a barking great Pyrenees.

I used to be weak like a slimy worm
trying to cross the sidewalk
But now I’m as strong as a hungry wolf
howling at the moon.

I used to be as shy as a downy baby owl
But now I’m as brave as a rabbit hopping across the street when a car is coming.

I used to be as crazy as an erupting volcano
But now I’m as calm as a grownup.
